Hello and welcome to beautiful Future Neuromancer's Den.

Proposal: Currently Untitled Typing Game

Genre: Typing
Theme: Mathematics, Quick thinking

As you can guess from the genre I’ve listed above, this is a typing game with the subject of mathematics as its main theme. I intend this game to be for practicing their mental mathematics skill and to challenge brave toddlers to go beyond their limits.

The way the game works is simple, you have your character on the left side on the screen and baddies will move from right to left with a simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division for now) question floating above their head. There will be an input bar at the bottom and you have to type in the correct answer and press enter in order to halt the progress of the monsters. However, your character will get stunned for a short period of time should you get the answer wrong. If they get past the left side of the screen, you lose health (represented by a red bar), but if the timer (represented by a blue bar) runs out then you win the level.

Monsters are spawned at a random interval on the far left side and there are 2 types of monsters so far (though I might add more in the future). One monster is harder than the other, and I plan to add difficulty settings to make things easier/harder by adjusting the proportion of harder to easier monsters, the spawn rate, and your health.

I’ve made some progress on the game and this screenshot might help visualize what the game might be like in the future (granted, things will change as I add and adjust things here and there):
